Changes to Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and Workers’ Compensation (WCB) System came into effect June 1, 2018. Our Prevent Harassment/Bullying & Violence Training Program provides you with all that is required to train workers as it relates to harassment and violence under Alberta’s updated OHS legislation.

Harassment & Violence in the Workplace

Under Alberta’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Bill 30 legislation, harassment and violence are workplace hazards.

Bill 30 includes the following:

Definition of harassment
Definition of violence including domestic violence and sexual violence
Specific duties employers, supervisors and employees must follow to address harassment and violence
Harassment prevention plan including policy and procedures

Violence prevention plan including policy and procedures
Investigation of any incidents of harassment or violence and corrective action
Training employees on how to recognize harassment, what to do if you experience harassment and how to report it
